    Product Manager Responsibilities

    • Research markets and competition and understanding in-depth user requirements as part of a collaborative and engaged technical team.

    • Craft detailed product roadmaps starting from initial product idea to full-maturity and commercialization.

    • Understand and document use cases and building product requirements to meet the users’ needs.

    • Lead engineering teams located on site and remotely to design, develop, and deliver cutting edge new products.

    • Work collaboratively with marketing, legal, finance, engineering, and industrial design teams to design, build, test and launch new products.

    • Drive a growth strategy through research of technology and competitive trends and identifying new product and technology opportunities.

    Requirements

    • A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business administration with a strong technical acumen, or equivalent practical experience.

    • 3+ years of experience in product management, consulting, or related technical role.

    • Experience building and shipping technical products and familiarity with software development and electronics design.

    • Project management experience leading technical projects. PMP certification is a plus but not required.

    • A confident leader who has the ability to synthesize input from users and stakeholders and quickly adapt to changes.

    • A self-driven individual who can unravel a complex problem and develop a clear plan of action.

    • Willingness to travel.

    • Last but not least, a positive attitude with a fun outlook on life!

    • U.S. citizenship required due to government contracts.

    Salary Range

    The annual base salary for this role is $80,000-$110,000. Starting pay will be based on several factors and commensurate with qualifications and experience.

    What will you work on?

    As an integral member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for the design, development, and optimization of PCB layouts, specifying electrical components, creating prototypes, and solving technical challenges in collaboration with our cross-functional teams.

    • Design, develop, and optimize PCB layouts using industry-standard design tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or similar software. Ensure designs meet performance, reliability, and manufacturability requirements.

    • Select and specify electrical components based on project requirements, ensuring compatibility, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Collaborate with suppliers to source components and manage procurement processes.

    • Create and assemble PCB prototypes for testing and evaluation purposes. Work closely with hardware and firmware engineers to integrate PCB designs into larger product systems.

    • Contribute to the development of embedded software for microcontroller-based systems. Write, debug, and optimize firmware code in languages such as C/C++ to implement control algorithms, device drivers, and communication protocols.

    • Identify and resolve technical issues related to PCB design, layout, and component integration. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to meet project milestones and quality standards.

    • Prepare comprehensive design documentation, including schematics, layout files, bill of materials (BOM), and manufacturing specifications. Ensure designs comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, firmware engineers, and product managers, to achieve project objectives and deliver high-quality products on schedule. Communicate effectively to convey technical concepts and project status updates.

    • Ability to take any problem no matter how big or small, dissect it into smaller pieces and never give up!

    Are You Ready?

    We’re looking for candidates with...

    • A Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

    • Proficiency in PCB design software such as Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or similar tools.

    • Experience with embedded systems programming in languages such as C/C++.

    • Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, including analog and digital circuit design, signal integrity, and power distribution.

    • Experience with schematic capture, PCB layout, and design for manufacturability (DFM) considerations.

    • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for PCB design and manufacturing.

    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

    • Effective communication and collaboration skills.

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

    • U.S. citizenship required due to government contracts.
